Lower Car Insurance for Safe Women Drivers
It has long been contested that women are the safer driver. or at least that’s what the so called experts would have you believe. But sureley there are less women drivers on the road and hence the statistics are somwhat biased…surely!
Well, the answer to that is a resounding NO and in recent years the insurance companies have taken the evidence on board and have started offering lower car insurance for women deals. In fact there are now several specialist women car insurance companies operating in the UK e.g. Sheilas Wheels and Diva Car Insurance.
Apparently women have much better ’spatial’ skills and quoting from the research it said “The women were far better at being able to shift their attention from one stimulus to another, making it easier for them to perform everyday actions like driving and reading. “
Yeah, I know what they mean! Like being able to do their lipstick while looking at themeselves in the mirror and still have the ability to steer the car straight. They need all the spatial skills they can get.
But in all seriousness it does look like women have the upper hand when it comes to being safer drivers and they are rightly being rewarded with lower premiums.
